This can include restoring or replacing teeth, treating occlusal diseases (improperly aligned bite), fitting dentures, repairing facial trauma, and more.
You may need to see a prosthodontist for a variety of reasons, such as an accident involving the mouth, a congenital (birth-related) condition, or cosmetic reasons. Not only can these dental conditions and facial problems make you feel self-conscious, but they can impact your oral health if left untreated. That’s why it’s so important to get the dental care that you need.
Unlike regular dentists, prosthodontists have received special training and use state-of-the-art techniques to resolve complex issues and improve the overall function, health, and appearance of your smile.
Kriebel Dental offers world-class prosthodontics treatments at affordable prices – in the beautiful and relaxing Costa Rica. You receive dental care from doctors who were trained and are accredited in the United States but at a fraction of the cost. In general, treatments at Kriebel Dental are very affordable and can be up to 70% less expensive than the same procedures in the U.S. Plus, you can combine your dental treatment with all the natural beauty and relaxation that Costa Rica has to offer.
Our Prosthodontic Services
Oral rehabilitation or full mouth restoration procedures help our patients restore proper oral function and aesthetics. This includes fixed prosthetics (crowns and bridges), full mouth reconstructions, implant-supported restorations, and removable restorations.
Oral rehabilitation is most often used for patients between age 45-65, although many patients may benefit from it. You may need oral rehabilitation following an injury or accident, if you have difficulty or pain while chewing, if you have progressive bone loss or an unstable occlusion, or if you grind your teeth and have severe tooth wear. We can treat these problems to restore both your smile and self-confidence.

A crown is a tooth-shaped cap placed over a broken tooth. Every crown is unique and custom-crafted for you. Once in place, the crown will strengthen and protect the remaining tooth structure so it can function properly. This will help prevent additional wear and tear on surrounding teeth.
If you lose one or more teeth, you may find that it is more difficult to talk or chew. Bridges are prostheses that replace one or more missing teeth. A bridge typically has a crown on either side and an artificial tooth in between. Once cemented in place, bridges look, feel, and work just like natural teeth.
Dental implants are titanium posts that are surgically placed into the jaw bone. Once in place, they serve as anchors for dental restorations like crowns, bridges, and removable prostheses. This makes them an excellent alternative in cases where natural teeth cannot be restored. Learn more about our dental implant services.
In some cases, a crown or bridge is not sufficient to restore your oral function, and you may need a dental prosthesis. These include partial dentures and complete dentures.
Like tooth restorations or dental implants, removable prostheses help improve your overall mouth function (chewing, talking, etc) and appearance. Each prosthesis is custom-made and designed to look and feel natural. We usually recommend removable prostheses for older patients for whom dental implants are too expensive or not feasible, as well as patients with severe bone loss or jaw defects.
